Our steel door and window systems are currently undergoing NFRC testing. We'll provide updates as certification becomes available.
That depends on where the opening will be used and the performance you need. Our interior steel systems are designed for slim sightlines and interior applications, while our thermally broken exterior systems are designed for exterior openings requiring greater weather and thermal performance.
Most orders take approximately 10–14 weeks from approved shop drawings to delivery
It depends on your climate and where the doors or windows will be installed. Thermally broken systems help reduce heat transfer through the frames, improving insulation and reducing condensation risk. They're generally recommended for exterior applications, especially in areas with extreme temperatures.
We ship nationwide from our warehouse in Los Angeles throughout the United States. Our team coordinates delivery and provides installation documentation for your contractor.
Yes. For demanding coastal or high-exposure environments, Ottostumm FerroFinestra can be specified with a PVDF finish meeting AAMA 2605. We'll recommend the right finish and glazing for your exposure.
BlackFramed supplies the doors and windows with installation documentation. Installation is completed by your contractor or qualified installer. We can provide technical information to help your installation team prepare for the project.
BlackFramed works with established European steel profile manufacturers, including Ottostumm, Secco Sistemi, and Forster. These profiles are made in Europe and shipped to our fabrication partner in China, where our doors and windows are built to BlackFramed's specifications using the original profile systems and compatible components and hardware.
Our BF S20 interior system is manufactured in Europe.
Every order is made specifically for the project, based on its dimensions, design, and requirements. We don't carry stock or mass-produce doors and windows.
Yes. Orders under $10,000 require full payment upfront. Orders of $10,000 or more require a 50% deposit to begin shop drawings, with the remaining balance due before shipment.
Every order is custom-made, and payment allows us to secure materials and begin your project. Production starts only after you approve the final shop drawings.
